Rare 3-armed brass table lamp, model 2468 (also known as the “traffic light lamp”), designed by Josef Frank for Svenskt Tenn in Sweden, 1960s.
Designed by renowned Austrian-born pioneer of great 20th-century Swedish design, Josef Frank, this brass table lamp model 2468 is a delightful and rare collector’s item. Manufactured by Svenskt Tenn, this fabulous sculptural table lamp features three brass stems holding red, green, and yellow-colored cotton shades at different heights. Thanks to these tricolor cotton shades, this lamp is also known as the “traffic light lamp”.
The lamp features the original manufacturer’s stamp “Svenskt Tenn” as well as the lamp’s model number “2468”, both stamped on one of the brass stems. The lamp is in very good original condition, with wear consistent with age and use.
